The
Legend Of Soul:
Mr. Ray Charles
Once again Casino Rama is commended
for attracting the best performers
in the
entertainment scene to their concert
facilities in Orillia, Ontario.
|
On Wednesday, June 21, 2000, a full
crowd of fans came out to see the fabulous
and sensational Mr. Ray Charles. Even
after forty years in the business, Ray
Charles' talent still shines. His fans
honour this, for they gave Ray Charles
a standing ovation for five minutes
before they let the husky voice and
his magic fingers get busy. The show
was, in a word electric.
Dressed in a classy dark brown suit
and wearing some very stylish dark sunglasses,
Ray Charles dazzled the crowd, as always.
Ray Charles was accompanied by the Ray
Charles orchestra, which consisted of
a sixteen-piece band and his five beautiful,
and very experienced back-up singers,
who were dressed in purple. The fans
were absolutely breathless while Mr.
Charles performed more then twenty songs,
with such hits as "Angle in the
sky", "What Is, What Is",
and his most famous hit "Georgia".
Although the show was only 85 minutes
long, the fans were not disappointed.
Ray Charles is now in his late sixties
but he sure does know how to entertain
his fans.
What a fabulous entertainer, long live
the man of soul, Ray Charles.
Special thanks to Casino Rama and their
P.R. personnel Deborah Crossen and Sherry
Lawson, their security personnel and
the handful of volunteers that helped
to make the event a great success, transportation
for J.P. Public Relations Inc., provided
by Magic Moments Limousine and Entertainment
Services L.T.D. and editor Joilene Sholtes.
